Khun Htee Saung left NC for border area

Khun Htee Saung represented SNPLO ceasefire group at the NC Khun Htee Saung, a delegate to the Burma's National Convention, said many delegates could not accept the principles that the military would take the leading role in future politics. He attended the Convention until December last year, representing a Shan ethnic cease-fire group, SNPLO but he left Burma and came to Thai-Burma border area recently. Khun Htee Saung was joined by other former NC delegates at their press conference. Nation Council of the Union of Burma (NCUB), an umbrella organisation for the opposition groups along the border and in exile, denounces the National Covention as a sham. Burmese government announced that the National Convention would resume on July 18 for the last session.
